The deed is done. The Christmas tree has taken it's place of honor in our living room. I fully defend my colored lights. As much as I love the twinkle and sparkle of the white, there is something so childlike and magical to me about colored lights. They remind me of riding around Westerly, Rhode Island when I was a kid, in the back seat of the car with my sisters, looking through foggy windows at the beautifully decorated homes in our town. Maybe I'm supposed to somehow grow up and have more sophisticated tastes. Maybe next year!
